POLICY ADVISE TO THE MINISTER: » PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

The professional Standards deals with complains about the Samoa Police.

The Samoa Police service is committed to fairness in our complaint management process.

You can make a complaint:

  -  At your local Police Station

  -  Telephoning the Professional Standards Unit on 22222 extension 180

  -  By writing to the Superintendent, Professional Standards Unit at the Police Headquarters, Apia

  -  Record the Time, date and the name of the officer taking your report

After your complain what happens next?

  -  After you have made your complaint you can expect to be contacted by the Professional Standards Unit on receipt of your complaint.

  -  If you do not hear from theProfessional Standards Unit within 48 hours of making your complaint contact the Superintendent on 22222
     ext 180

  -  Your investigation should be completed within 7 days . If there are any delays you will be advised.

  -  If you are not happy with the way your complaint has been handled you can contact the Ombudsman's office on telephone 25394
